Island of Eternal Spring
Tenerife is also an island of thousands of experiences that can be done in every season thanks to the mild climate and the wide range of activities on the largest of the seven Canary Islands surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean.
Enjoy a day at the beach, walk some of the trails that lead through the lush forests, discover the local volcanoes and breathtaking landscapes and impressive gorges and cliffs. Dream under the endless starry sky in good company or fulfill your dream of seeing whales and dolphins swimming in the wild.

Weather
Tenerife is located at the same latitude as the Sahara. Thus, it has two main types of weather, namely warm and dry weather, thanks to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf Stream and the warm front. The temperatures are similar to those in the south of Spain, so mild and ideal for a year-round holiday. Average water temperature is between 18° and 23°. Rainy days tend to come in winter, and long-lasting cloudbursts are a real exception. The snow line starts at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, and on the tops of the highest mountains we can observe a permanent snow cover. The main tourist season occurs in the autumn, winter and early spring months.
Holidays and celebrations
Festivals in Tenerife are as numerous as they are diverse and popular with a large number of people. This is due to the personality of the local inhabitants of the island: open, festive and extremely devoted to their traditions.
This also explains why the biggest festival in Tenerife, carnivalone of the most important street celebrations in Europe.
However, festivals are held in Tenerife all year round, not just in February. Most of them have a religious connection, a spirituality that is intertwined with keeping traditions alive, even those that date back to pre-Hispanic times.


Beaches
Most of the beaches in Tenerife are black sand volcanic beaches (Playa de las Américas, Los Christianos, Él Médano, Playa Jardín, Playa San Blas and others) but you will find an exception and that is one "classic beach" called Las Teresitas (near the main city) with light sand that was imported from the Sahara.
Trips
Tenerife is ideal for hiking. You can go on demanding high-mountain treks that take you up to heights of over 3,000 m above sea level, but also on short leisurely walks through fragrant coniferous forests or the lush vegetation of the northeast. The hiking trails on Tenerife are well-marked and well-maintained, so hiking here is not a difficult orienteering problem.
Tenerife is an island full of contrasts and you will find countless interesting places here. The best way to get to know them is to rent a car and go on a road trip around the island. The roads here are of good quality, the traffic is relatively sparse (with the exception of the populated northern coast) and the local drivers are considerate.
On the way by car, you can stop at all the hidden beaches, mountain viewpoints and hiking trails.

ZOO
The most famous attraction of Tenerife is undoubtedly the botanical and zoological garden Loro Parque, which is located in the town of Puerto de la Cruz. It boasts the largest collection of parrots in the world. However, parrots are not the only thing you can admire here. There are also tigers, jaguars, giant tortoises, gorillas, chimpanzees and other exotic animals. Here you can see huge aquariums full of underwater animals and plants, a breathtaking penguin exhibit and a 15-meter long underwater tunnel where sharks and rays swim around you. However, the most popular attractions are unique shows with killer whales, sea lions and dolphins. It is open here every day from 8:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Sport
The list of sports that tourists come here for is as long as the list of places you should visit. Tenerife is perfect for cycling, joga (the perfect place to exercise if you want privacy and comfort is our Villa Marbella), hiking, swimming, diving, golf, tennis, surfing and windsurfing. The best waves in Tenerife are between October and February.
The most popular surfing spots for both experienced and beginners are located on the southwest coast, especially in Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas resorts. Less frequented spots for more experienced surfers can be found on the northern coast around the city of Puerto de la Cruz.
The most popular and most used beaches for kitesurfing and windsurfing are El Médano and La Tejita near Tenerife Sur Airport.
